Come support the team, meet the coaches, register, order gear, and more!
The team will host a Franklin’s fundraiser on Tuesday, May 6. It’s an ALL-DAY event and 20% of everything you purchase at the restaurant or from the gift store (including Gift Certificates! Wine & Beer! Quirky Gifts!) will go to the team.
A Swim Team Committee member will be at Franklin’s from 2-8PM with information on registration, preseason cap sales and all-new team spiritwear (hoodies, mesh shorts, flannel pjs, etc.)
It's my great pleasure to announce that Jon Rooker will be the new Head Coach of the Adelphi Dolphins! Jon graduated from Kenyon College in 2013 where he swam all four years. In his senior year, he had a 1st place NCAA Team finish and was an NCAA All-American and an Individual NCAA Champion. Jon moved to Maryland last summer from Oregon and is currently the Head Age Group Coach at the University of Maryland Aquatic Club (UMAC). Jon is extremely excited about coaching at Adelphi this summer and is looking forward to getting to know our swimmers and their families.
A tough fourth place finish at divisionals and final season point tie with Strathmore Bel Pre (SBP) was enough for us to win our division, coupled with a 5-0 regular season record and the tie-breaker against SBP
Message from Carl White, head coach:
Congratulations, Dolphins to our Division B Championship!!! Great work, all season long, to everyone.
Right now, I hope everyone is relaxing and celebrating our Championship. Way to go, guys. It means a whole lot to me and the coaches. Thank you all so much for your efforts this year.
It is time to kick off the 2013 Adelphi Pool Swim-A-Thon to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)! We have set a goal of raising $5,000 for LLS this year (last year we raised $4,600). We will accept donations starting today July 2nd through July 24th. The Swim-A-Thon is an important opportunity to expand our reach to help individuals within and beyond our pool community. It encourages our pool members to learn about common struggles that shape the daily lives of many of our families coping with leukemia or lymphoma.
I've attached our meet program for tomorrow. Please print if you'd like. It's going to be a close, close, close meet. I'm really excited to see what we can do.
Also, in an effort to ensure we're done by 12pm, our warm-up time has been moved up by 5 minutes. Please plan to arrive at the pool by 7:25am. I think any extra time we have will be useful in getting use acclimated to the facilities and procedures. As always, if an emergency happens tomorrow morning, text me or call me ASAP.
