Happy Thursday Dolphins!

We wanted to keep you updated - registration will be ready to go soon, and we are excited to be putting the pieces in place for a great season! I’ve attached the most recent calendar - there have been a few changes, most notably the parents’ meeting and team time is on May 31st, not the 30th, and a few other tentative events have been confirmed.

Movie Night Saturday August 30, 2014

Adelphi Dolphin “Swim Season in Review” and Movie Night at Adelphi Pool on Saturday (8/30) – 7 pm

Finally…Adelphi Pool is having a long awaited Movie Night this Saturday at 7 pm. Before starting the movie, Montana Monardes will be showing a video he made of the 2014 Adelphi Dolphins Swim Season. Montana is a pro and his videos are always excellent! If you were on the swim team – please come and check it out! And if you were not on the swim team – come see what you missed!

Family Spirit Award Nominations

Dear Swim Team Families,

The trophy committee is seeking ‘Family Spirit Award’ nominations for the 2014 season.
All names, along with a few words as to why you are nominating this family, are due by Monday, July 14. Please email your nominations to d4markel@gmail.com or drop off at the front desk in the designated envelope.

Please take the time to send us your nominations. This shouldn’t be hard as we have many people/families that have done so much and deserve to be recognized.

To compare the times to SCM (25M), use the following conversion factors:

25M events - NO conversion
100M 8&U relay - divide time by 0.61
100M I.M events - divide time by 1.22
all other events - divide by 1.02

Swim Team Campout July 5 2014

Attention Adelphi Dolphins!

The Swim Team Camp Out is this Saturday night, beginning after the Swim-a-Thon. Swimmers 12 and under are welcome to stay until the pool closes, and swimmers 13 and over can spend the night, along with our coaches and one or more parent chaperones. However, overnight campers must provide a permission slip signed by a parent - see attached form. Please drop off your signed permission slip at the pool in the manila envelope at the front desk before the Swim-a-Thon. Only swimmers who have submitted a signed permission slip may spend the night.

Swim team events cancelled tonight July 3 2014

Hi Dolphin Families,

We're making the best call we can tonight and cancelling all swim team activities at the pool, including both practices and Charlie's. The radar and forecast have shifted, but it still looks ominous. Sorry for the late notice, but we're always trying to fit it all in.

Hope to see you at tomorrow morning's practices...both 7:30AM and 9AM are on!
